The aim of the project  – to increase support for survivors of sexual violence in Lithuania by advocating for comprehensive national legislation aligned with the EU Directive on Violence against Women and Domestic Violence and the Istanbul Convention.

Project activities:

  • Preparing policy document based on an analysis of national legislation, policies related to sexual and cyber violence, as well as existing services for survivors of sexual and cyber violence in line with the EU Directive.
  • Development of recommendations for new legislation and policy actions.
  • Advocacy for full and timely transposition of the EU Directive into national law.
  • Capacity building visit to the Netherlands to deepen capacity in the areas of prevention and intervention, as well as cyber-violence.
  • Training sessions.
  • Communication campaign.

The project has a budget of EUR 24.800 for 2024.
